About Markus Dobler

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA BBS MFT License #46130) in San Francisco specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. During my graduate education and practical training I worked with children, adolescents and adults from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. I maintain a private practice conveniently located in the historic and elegant James Flood Building on Market Street at Powell Street in San Francisco.

As a graduate of the Clinical Psychology Master of Science program at San Francisco State University, I am a psycho-dynamically oriented and trained therapist. The roots of my orientation are in analytic thinking and objects relations theory. I am equally comfortable with more contemporary therapy approaches, including cognitive behavioral as well as humanistic and existential treatment modalities.

My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback in the therapeutic relationship with my clients. I will help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I also integrate complimentary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are striving for.
